Montreal is a hotbed of musical activity at the moment, but you knew that already, right? What makes the city's output so thrilling, though, is its residents' willingness to collaborate so freely. The latest in a long line of stellar hook-ups combines two rising stars in sentimental pop duo Milk & Bone and the electronic producer Rivver. The track in question, 'Am I OK', is a brooding, bubbling immersive paean in the SOHN mould; it's all glitchy builds, twittering organic samples, pitch-warped vox chops and harsh beats - but the calculatedness is reined in by Camille Poliquin and Laurence Lafond-Beaulne's beautifully tempered cooing.
